Editor’s Note (written today):
I wrote this post months ago and never shared it. Not because it wasn’t true — but because I was still finding my footing. I’m sharing it now as a marker of where this journey began, and I’ll be continuing from where I am today in the posts that follow.
I have always believed in the magic of stories. As a child, books were my escape, my adventure, my home. But becoming an author? That felt like a dream too big to touch.

Yet here I am—pouring my heart into words, shaping characters who feel like old friends, and stepping into the world of publishing with The Gift. This blog is my space to document it all—the triumphs, the struggles, and the lessons learned along the way.
One thing I’ve discovered about creativity is that there is no single “right” way to do it. Art is deeply personal, and there will always be differing opinions on what works and what doesn’t. But that’s the beauty of it—there’s room for all creativity. Stay true to your vision, and the right audience will find you.
Think about it—you and your friends don’t always love the same books, paintings, or music, yet your friendship remains strong because you respect each other’s differences. The same is true for creative work. Not everyone will connect with what you create, and that’s okay. What matters is that you believe in it.
If you’re on your creative journey, I hope my experiences remind you that dreams don’t just stay dreams. They grow when we nurture them.
What’s a dream you’ve had since childhood? I’d love to hear in the comments!
